summer is for swimming

These pictures are from one of our first swims of the year at the "big" pool.

It's funny to look back at them because in these first photos there is a hesitation that isn't there anymore.

It's as if kids have to get reacquainted with the water every summer.

The hesitation is real ...

... yet brief! At least for my two pint sized fish :)

This one hung out with her Daddy lots.

Then we moved to jumping from the side in the shallow end.

Great form, eh??

Beetles would stand on the edge and say "One, two, three, two, three ..."

They we moved down to the deep end for more jumping. By this point Juliet had figured out that going under is fun so she'd request to go under when she jumped in. Beet tried her hardest to keep up with her big sister. Like I said, we have a couple of fish :)

See her little smirk. She was so proud of herself :)
