belated six month update

I'm a little late (it's now been a draft post for a month), but here are the highlights from month 6:

• J is getting close to sitting up, still a little wobbly, but doing pretty good.
• J is rolling T-> B and B-> T, though often gets stuck on her tummy and yells for assistance :)
• J is very observant and quiet, but still laughs and smiles a lot.
• We started solid foods the Tuesday before she turned 6 months. She loved the rice cereal and was attacking the spoon! The high chair is out and the bouncy seat is put away. She's a big girl!
• J loves Charlie. He makes her laugh and she loves to watch him and pull his fur.
• J also figured out that she can roll over in her crib so this has disrupted sleep time a bit because it's not as easy as laying her down and swaddling her (yes we've been swaddling her this long).
• In a dramatic turn of events, J now likes her swing ok now. She sits in it for daddy concerts (Dominic playing the guitar) or to watch mommy perform impromptu song and dance routines for her :)
• J loves books and has quite a long attention span. If she's in the mood, she's sat and listened to me read 6-8 books to her - probably 15-20 min of reading!
• J's about outgrown her baby bathtub. She now likes to squirm over the little ridge for her bum, letting her feet hang over the edge and her head and ears be underwater. See pictures for this - it's hard to explain, but bathing her in that little tub is getting harder by the day.

Can I just say that's it's getting harder and harder to take pictures of her the older she gets! I used to be able to put her in her bouncy seat and start snapping pics, but not anymore ... she wants to be moving around - which of course requires my help most of the time. I'm sure this will get better, but that's my excuse for not having quite as many photos this month.
