april fools

Happy April! I don't have any pranks for you - just a few tidbits of Schulte happenings:

Juliet's been a lot more vocal the last couple months, and while she's not saying any official words, she's babbling and yelling a lot of nonsense that we don't understand. She's got finger pointing down and will point to tell you what she wants which is making life a little more interesting ... lets just say I'll be glad when she speaks and I'm not trying to decipher points and squeals! But there is something super sweet about her tiny index finger pointing at things around the house :)

Juliet + Charlie = BFF. Charlie's always been good with Juliet, but the more active she gets, the more interesting it gets to watch them interact. She loves him. He makes her smile first thing in the morning. She loves to pull up on him (she's even pulled up to standing next to him when he was standing up), pet him, play with his collar, etc. Charlie's tolerance and patience of her constant poking and prodding and reaching for his collar - even when he has a bone in his mouth - has greatly exceeded my expectations! He kisses her when he's had enough and/or gets up and moves across the room ... at which time she usually crawls over to the new location :) He might just be the best "toy" I ever purchased!!

Cute story from the other night. Juliet had had a rough day. A rough few days really - cutting 4 teeth at one time can really mess with a 9 month old. Anyways, I had put her down at 10:30pm for the night and she was fussing a bit, which isn't totally abnormal, and after 10 minutes or so I could hear that she was settling down. A minute or so later, Dominic comes into the kitchen and tells me that Charlie is in with Juliet. What?! Sure enough, Charlie had let himself into Juliet's room and plopped himself down on the floor right next to her crib. It was storming and he was a bit skiddish of the storm, so we're not sure if he was looking for comfort from Juliet or trying to comfort her or what ... her crib mattress is all the way down so he was definitely laying in her view, but we don't know whether she saw him or not. Too stinkin cute those two. I was tempted to let him sleep in there all night long!
