potty traning

It's no secret that J hasn't been much into wearing clothes this summer. She learned how to take her clothes off (this is a developmental skill, right?) so has been wearing just her diaper most of the time when we are at home. I don't mind. Less laundry in theory, thought that doesn't seem to be the case as I can't see the couch most days around here.

So, what do you get when you potty train diaper girl?

Anyways, she's ready to potty train. Has been for a few months now, so I decided that I should stop holding her back. Around here potty training goes something like this.

Started 7.28.2010. Nudey Tudey Bottom Girl (i.e. running around buck naked) all day long. A few accidents and lots of victories. Elmo and Minnie Mouse panties (on occasion ... just for fun). Eating 2 M&Ms for success. Trying to go just for M&Ms and learning that M&Ms are only received when something actually ends up in the toilet. Crying about that reality. Saying "I need to go poopoo in toy-lee" for both #1 and #2.

It's only day 3, but I'd say things are going great. She looks like such a big girl in panties, but that's about the only thing I don't like. Ok, cleaning up pee and poo aren't much fun either :)
