One hot weekend here. I think it's still 100 degrees outside if that tells you how hot it was this afternoon. Ugh. And the forecast is days in the upper 90s all week long. Awesome. Sure feel sorry for all the big pregnant women walking (or waddling) around :)
Having surgery on my foot tomorrow. I am one of a select group of super special people born with an extra bone in their foot. While one could hope that an extra bone would come with super powers or something, mine did not. It has given me trouble in the past, irritating the tendon in the arch of my foot when I ran or wore high heeled shoes ... two things that I don't really care for so haven't done anything about it until now.
Now I need to run. It's simply the most convenient form of exercise and if I'm going to make exercise happen, it's got to be convenient. And I need to make exercise happen. I feel better when I exercise and that makes me happy.
And we all know that if mommy ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.
So, surgery tomorrow. A quick recovery (hopefully). And maybe (just maybe ... I can't commit) a marathon in my future :)
