We are having a lot of impromptu dance parties around here. J has discovered how to operate the buttons on the clock radio so is constantly asking if we can "Turn music on and dance". We dance and spin, chase each other in circles, B flaps her arms and squeals, and J laughs her sweet laugh - especially when Daddy is home to participate. I may think I'm funny, but I am no where near as funny as Daddy ... the laughs he gets are just different. Sweet. Joyful. Can't hear them without smiling. In fact, I'm smiling just thinking about them!

Dress up has been a regular thing too the last couple weeks. J insists on putting the costumes on by herself so they are often backwards or with both her legs through one leg hole, but we don't mind. Here are the girls playing dress up earlier this week.

Just thought I should share a few happy thoughts about why I love Walmart:
  • Walmart is the perfect place for a morning outing with the girls. With few small windows of opportunity to get out of the house because of naps (and babies that won't sleep unless in a bed), a Walmart run at 8:45am is productive for me and fun for them. J likes to get out and I think it's good for all of us. When the weather cools down some, we'll be able to make morning runs to the park, but for now we have to search for air conditioned locations!
  • I love Walmart diapers. I was in love with Target ones with J, but Walmart's brand - Parent's Choice - has improved theirs and I like them even better than Target ones now! Still like the Target brand wipes the best, although the Parent's Choice Sensitive Wipes (blue/purple package) are very similar ... need to price compare those two. I'm a sucker for a bargain. Especially given the number of wipes/diapers we go through!
  • I reuse our Walmart plastic bags to bag dirty diapers. They use like a million when they bag your stuff. We don't have a diaper pail. I just bag them and put them in our regular trash can. I want to start using those reusable shopping bags, but then I'd just have to buy plastic bags to bag my diapers ... maybe once the girls aren't in diapers anymore :)
  • I am a big fan of the cotton pants/shirt pj sets and Walmart just came out with some for $5. I no longer have to wait for the Old Navy ones to go on sale!!!! They had some on sale for $3 on Wednesday when we were there. I let J pick out a pair and she selected the boy's blue dinosaur pjs! She's wearing the shirt in the dress up pictures above. She wanted B to get some too but they didn't have her size. She loves them. I kind of liked the ones with multicolored hearts, but since they weren't pjs for me, I didn't protest :)
  • I can get (nearly) everything I need at Walmart. Seriously, I can't think of a place I frequent as much as our friendly neighborhood Super Walmart and Neighborhood Market. I'll leave it at that!
Don't know why I felt the need to get that off my chest, but I feel better :)

Happy Weekend everyone!
