I had my mom's name for my familys' gift exchange this year. Since she's always complaining about how she doesn't have any actual, real live, hard copy photos of the girls, I decided to put together a photo book for her with photos from the year.
Mpix has been recommended to me by a couple of photography loving people and I have used it in the past for printing photos (and was super thrilled with the quality and price), but their photo book creation process was horrible. Slow, not easily customizable, etc, etc. 1.5 hours in I gave up and started looking elsewhere. Settled on MyPublisher and was really happy with the book creation and price. I created one of their Paperback Pocketbooks for about $15 (20 page book for 9.99. I paid extra for additional pages). I have been waiting to blog about it until it arrived so I could comment on the quality, and it's here!!! I didn't even pay extra for delivery before Christmas and thanks to Mr. Hardworking FedEx Guy my stack of photobooks is here. Quality is really good. Pictures taken with my pre-DSLR camera aren't as crisp, especially those I cropped and enlarged. But it's perfect for a grandma brag book and presents for great grandparents who might not have any pictures of my neglected second child.
The book can be viewed online too and I thought I'd share just in case anyone was interested. So, here's a link to the book I created, our year in pictures, a look back at 2010. Click on the image to view the book :)
Merry Christmas Eve!!!
