the pocket book

The book is titled What's in my Pockets?
 
It is dated 1971 by Fisher Price Toys.

My sisters and I used to play with it at my Grandma's house. Now its home is in our playroom on our bookshelf.

It is a cloth book with a different type of pocket on every page with little plastic coins that fit neatly inside each one. There's a button pocket, a zipper pocket, a sticky (i.e. velcro) pocket and more.

Juliet has loved this little book for a while now, but on Monday her little sis figured out one of those pockets for herself!



She took that coin out of the button pocket over and over again. Getting quicker - and more pleased with herself - every time.

I was wanting to get a specific shot when I took these. Each time she'd pull the coin out of the pocket, she'd perk up all smiles, throw her little head back, shaking the prized coin and kicking her little legs the whole time. It wasn't easy, but I got it!
