temperature taking tip

Buy two thermometers. One for you to actually use and one for your child to "use" - push the button, stick in your mouth, stick in his/her mouth, stick in his/her nose ... really whatever will keep them occupied. It might buy you 30 seconds or so until they start acting like the act of having a thermometer in their armpit is the most painful thing EVER ... at which point you shouldn't have much longer until the BEEP BEEP BEEP saves you!

I heard from someone that those ear/forehead ones you can buy aren't any good (i.e. don't give an accurate reading). I didn't verify it. I was just relieved when I heard it cause I didn't really want to spend $50+ for a thermometer and figured we could surely get by with an old fashioned thermometer :)

We've been doing a lot of temperature taking over the last 24 hours.

No fun. Thankful no other symptoms have reared their ugly head. Juliet's temp has been down since about noon. Corinne's went up a few hours later. Naturally.

Everyone just wants to be held wrapped up in their blankies.
