Juliet randomly mentioned going to see the elephants this morning and so we went!
I love being able to be flexible like that. We don't have a packed schedule. We choose not to. For me, less is definitely more. Most of the time I decide what we are doing the morning of. I am not stressed. I am able to read their moods (and mine). If we make it to the zoo, great. If we stay home in our pjs all day, that's ok too.
We are together and that's what matters.
Building relationships. Making memories.
Loving each other as best we can every day.
I took these photos of Corinne, and turned around to find this.
She was quite proud of her wall climbing skills (yeah mom, I know you'd never have let this happen ...). As I helped her down, Corinne took off down the path in the other direction ... these two know how to give their Mommy a workout! Speaking of workout, I didn't end up joining the Y. Don't worry, I don't intend to get fat and lazy like a big rhinoceros ... hehe.
Corinne LOVED the animals. It was like seeing all the photos in the books we read come to life!
Juliet is an old pro at zoo visits. She knows our regular route around the zoo, including a stop at the playground.
Today she discovered a magical spot under a big tree. We will be back here for more photos ... once that eye clears up :)
They don't quite get the concept of these things yet ... maybe in a few years :)
We had such a great time. I want to go back. Like tomorrow. So so fun.
