Summer's End

Fall may have arrived early this year and I could not be more excited about it. I no longer sweat profusely and breath heavily on our evening walks and while I still can't keep up with Dominic and Charlie, it's been much more enjoyable to be outside over the last couple weeks. It's been busy around here. We've been spending as much time as we can outside - at the park, on walks, in our backyard, etc. My sister Di started at TU so we helped get her moved into her dorm (and played with all her roomates stuff while she wasn't there!). I figured Juliet should get a taste of good ol Twin South since that's where she'll be living someday. hehe. Go TU!

We're still planning on moving and attempting to be patient on the right buyer for our house, but I must say that this whole process has been much more challenging than we anticipated. Good news is that after 4 months of having our house on the market and looking at homes we are finally starting to have a better idea of what we're looking for and how to be patient and wait on God's timing. I haven't really blogged any of the house buying drama or hilarity, but trust me, there has been plenty. We've seen it all -- from homes that have NEVER been cleaned to a house with an indoor pool (complete with red carpet in the pool area) and a bedroom with a closet with a bidet (just a bidet, nothing else). Let me just say that I will be more than thrilled when we find our future home sweet home and don't have to continue to look at all the craziness out there!

The photo album is pretty much a collection of random pictures from the last few weeks. Juliet playing with Charlie, mowing the lawn with Dominic, etc. There are some of Juliet helping with what will hopefully be our last home improvement project at this house. Dominic and my dad put up a beam in our spare bedroom to cover a crack in the ceiling that had been drawing some concerns from potential buyers. And that's about all I can think of for this somewhat random update! Enjoy :)
