drywall dust

Well here's my best attempt at a remodel post given the following unfortunate facts:

• The desktop that has all the before pictures on it is in the garage
  
• The video camera with before footage as well as some footage of our progress decided to die this afternoon

So, for people that know what our house looked like this isn't a big deal and for everyone else I'm sorry. I tried to go back and find some decent before pictures in my Picasa Web Albums, but got tired of looking and the dishes in the kitchen are calling my name.

We've made some really good progress in the last 4 days. We had thought the wall was going to go up on Friday night, but we ended up doing some demo on Friday (which was good) and most of the framing went up on Saturday morning between 8-11 (before the TU game ... obviously we have our priorities straight!). I've included a link to an album with some pictures, but here are my favorites so far:

This is Dominic post sanding the ceilings in the front rooms last night. We scraped off the popcorn and cleaned up that mess last week, but they needed to be sanded and that made another gigantic mess.


The picture above was taken late last night and we didn't even attempt to clean up. So, this was the mess I had waiting for me during J's nap today.


Sweep. Vaccuum. Sweep. Vaccuum. Mop. I'd post an after picture, but it still looks dirty even after all my cleaning! But good progress overall ... even though it may not look like it :)
