- About a month ago, when she was talking to Dominic she said plainly "Oh Dada."The tone in her voice made the phrase - a mix of maturity well beyond her age and a little bit of I can't believe I have to put up with you attitude.
- Dominic sometimes can't even make it through the door in the evening before Juliet starts chanting "Do BuhBuh Tweet Tweet. Dada do Buh Buh? Tweet Tweet? Dada?" It's their evening ritual that she waits for all day long. As soon as Dominic gets home, they turn on her MP3 player and dance around to the only 2 songs on the player - the TU fight song and Rockin Robin :)
- Charlie decorates the yard with his "business" so we have had to tell Juliet to be careful not to step in it. I was calling it Charlie's poop (seemed fine and appropriate enough), but apparently Dominic told Juliet it was Charlie's doo doo. Awesome. She'll walk over to a pile, point, and say "Charlie's DOO DOO! No touch Charlie's DOO DOO!" Repeat for all 10+ piles in the yard. Super fun. We need to get the girl a swing set so she'll have something better to do outside!
- When changing Juliet's diaper today, she told me that "Daddy says 'lift your booty up'." You gotta lift it up to put the diaper underneath ... obviously ;)
- Dominic has no shortage of nick names for Charlie, but one he uses relatively frequently is "Chee Chee Bunny." I have no idea where it came from :) Well yours truly is now calling Charlie "Chee Chee Buh"!
- In the morning when we say goodbye to Dominic, he always get a hug and kiss from Juliet. The other morning, she started saying "Bye Dada. See ya later Dada!"
Dada and his girls
Absolutely awesome post, Dawn! I love that Juliet knows the TU fight song and "Rockin' Robin" by heart. Also LOVED the story about Charlie's doo doo and lifting her booty up. Classic.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how your kids can make you aware of the things you say frequently. :)
God bless your little family. Hugs and kisses from Germany.
