day 2: man, that's a big screw
My foot. New and improved. No extra bone. Rather large screw instead.
The extra bone came out easily. Minimal damage to tendon. No screw needed for that part of the operation.
But, there was another cist (he removed one in August as well). And a false joint or hollowed bone or something that required this screw. Dominic explained it to me yesterday, but I don't quite get it enough to write about it here (yet anyways ... I was still drugged up yesterday). Whatever. All I know is that I can't bear weight on it for 4-6 weeks. Hence my new ride.
(Called a Kneal. You put the knee of your bum leg on the pad and scoot around.)
Better than crutches, but not going to solve the issue of getting my 1 year old in and out of her crib. Just no good way to balance her and the scooter at the same time. Still discussing options here.
Taking it one day at a time.

Glad surgery went well! I'm sure you'll get it all figured out, but I can't imagine the frustration you're going though. I'll send prayers your way for a quick recovery!
