dates with daddy

Our Daddy is awesome. If you spend a little time with him it's obvious why the girls are head over heels for him.

He's fun.

The kind of fun that brings out special smiles and giggles and waaaaaaaay more fun than that Mommy woman that hangs around so often.

Why doesn't she get a job and let him stay home?!

:)

The girls enjoy all the fun things that Daddy comes up with so much that they want to do them over and over again.

Looking back at a few. This is a video from last April of an awesome couch jumping game created by Daddy.

Or dancing (a.k.a. spinning) like the video I posted just the other day. This one wears you out and makes you dizzy :) This is incredibly popular for the girls right now as they are really into all things princess and Daddy is their prince.

Here's a video of the Daddy's home from work ritual (from March of this year) we do every evening to the TU fight song (known around here as Buh-Buh ... cause there aren't any words).

We've been doing this little dance since before Corinne was born. It's getting more and more difficult as we add children and they keep getting heavier and heavier!

Well, today marked the second occurrence of the newest fun thing for Juliet to do with her Daddy - go on a date just the two of them.

Last Sunday while Beetles napped, Dominic wanted to take Juliet out to do something fun to give me a little quiet time to myself. They ended up visiting a pet store and sharing a McDonald's ice cream sundae. The pet store had a bunch of dogs in the store available for adoption making it an extra special trip for our dog loving daughter. She reported to Beetles later that she could go back to the pet store with her "sometime" and that if you put your hands in their crates, they will give you kisses. I think if Charlie was friendlier toward other dogs the two of them may have brought home a black dog named Marlin that apparently really liked them.

Well, the work week went by as usual this week. Both girls - especially Juliet - ask every day if it's the weekend.

And today (Saturday) I could finally say that yes it was the weekend. Daddy would indeed stay home all day to play with them.

And at Beetles nap time today Juliet had a plan.

From the other room, I could hear her telling Dominic that they needed to go somewhere. Like last time. Maybe the pet store. That he should get his shoes.

Can a prince resist his princess?

They went to the pet store to get Charlie some dog food and to get ice cream.

Not just any ice cream.

Pretty sure she had no idea what a double dip ice cream cone was until today. And she didn't want share :)

Her prince delivered another stellar date ... and set the bar pretty high for next week!!
